MSF and Better Shelter
In February 2016, MSF implemented 18 Better Shelter units to their humanitarian operations in Wau Shilluk, Upper Nile State, South Sudan.
While it had recently gained its independance from Sudan in 2011, South Sudan was hit by a civil war in 2013. The violences killed thousands of people and displaced more than one million South Sudanses residants. Most of them sought safety in neighbouring countries such as Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya,DRC and CAR.
