In response to the devastating earthquake that struck Türkiye and north-western Syria in February 2023, we collaborated with the Turkish Red Crescent (TRC) to provide temporary shelters to those affected by the disaster.

A total of 200 shelters were shipped from Mersin Sea Port to Cilvegözü Border Gate (Bab-Al Hawa) and successfully reached the TRC’s warehouse in Idlib, Syria.

To ensure proper setup, a team of 20 personnel received a two-day training session covering shelter assembly, safety procedures, and site management. Installation of shelters started in September 2023, at previously designated camps. By November 7, 2023, the installation of all 200 Relief Housing Units (RHUs) was successfully completed, allowing families to settle into the camps.

The shelters provided a safe and secure place for families to live while they worked to rebuild their lives after the disaster.
