Following the intial prototyping of RHUs with UNHCR in the Dollo Ado camp in Ethiopia, a second round of prototyping 13 RHU units was implemented in the Kawrgosk Camp in Erbil, Iraq.

The results brought key feedback on the technical performance of the shelter prototypes, as well as identifying logistical opportunities on shipping and assembly. Camp residents were again encouraged to provide personal feedback on the shelter units, which was significant in developing the prototypes into the final product when they were launched two years later in 2015.

12 RHU units were implemented to accommodate resident families of the Kawrgosk Camp, and 1 unit was used as a guard post located at the camp entrance.
