Already the one of the largest slums in Bangladesh, the population density in Korail continues to grow due to rapid urbanization in the Dhaka region.

The Youth Employment through IT Skills (YES) project was initiated in 2016 by CodersTrust in partnership with UNDP Bangladesh. The YES project offers training in computer knowledge to low income residents of the Korail slum, in order to build professional development and financial independence. The program is currently running in the CodersTrust Dhaka learning house and office. The Better Shelter Relief Housing Units (RHUs) built on site to support the Yes project hosts temporary learning spaces and continued testing is planned to accommodate a computer lab.
