The 3 horizons methodology

Building on our commitment to environmental sustainability, we have conducted a workshop using the 3 Horizons methodology. With this approach, we could map out the present (Horizon 1), define our long-term vision (Horizon 3), and identify the innovations required to transition between the two (Horizon 2).

We aligned each horizon with relevant UN SDGs:

·Horizon 1 acknowledged today’s challenges and inefficiencies, linked to SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

·Horizon 3 articulated our aspirational future vision, grounded in circularity, climate resilience, and regenerative design, aligned with SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

·Horizon 2 identified the innovations and partnerships needed to move forward, emphasising the role of industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9), responsible consumption and production (SDG 12), climate action (SDG 13) and partnerships (SDG 17).

This exercise reaffirmed the notion that achieving long-term impact requires both systemic thinking and collaborative action.
