At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, UNHCR and implementing partners provided RHUs across the Central African Republic (CAR) to scale up viral testing, treatment and identification. RHUs were installed at the University Hospital of Bombari, in southern CAR, as isolation centres.  Four RHUs were installed in Berberati in the south-west, and two at the hospital of Baboua in the westernmost border shared with Cameroon, which ultimately covered the entire Baboua-Abba health district.
